Feruza (17 yrs old) — “It is really important to know that what we are doing is historic and we are making history with our own hands by doing this. Doing this work keeps other people’s spirits up, and ours. It’s an amazing thing to know that you are a part of something bigger and these are stories you can tell to the future generations to come.”
“Shoulder the Vote — We are young leaders, too young to vote, we respectfully as YOU to Shoulder the Vote for us!” Institute students are calling voters and walking neighborhoods to leave door-hangers each week in a safe and socially-distanced fashion respectfully asking adults to “Shoulder the Vote!” So far they have reached over 3,000 community members!
