Many of our youth leaders and staff convened in person and online shortly after the polls closed Tuesday night to discuss the elections and their significance.
Instead of focusing on winners and losers, the discussion centralized the positive perspective that, regardless of the outcomes, we have a lot of work to do together to strengthen our democracy.
We have the choices Dr. King frames as “chaos or community” and the opportunity and responsibility to transform ourselves in service of something bigger.
The actual results of the elections will live in the civic engagement work we all need to do together moving forward to make our communities and country better for everyone.
Let’s continue our work!
