In honor of Dr. King this year, a delegation of 24 Institute students from 5 school districts in 3 counties throughout the South Puget Sound Sound travelled to the State Capitol. In small groups, they visited legislative offices to share their reflections on Dr. King’s legacy with legislators and staff. The Institute selected Alphia Sherif (freshman), Christopher Castro Salgado (sophomore), and Fayth Njenga (senior), to present the keynote address to the House of Representatives. We share with you their uplifting remarks here
