School Board Meeting

Communities thrive where citizens are civically engaged. We engage civically when we speak up to the school board, write elected officials, and prepare to be an informed voter.

Recently, the Institute for Community Leadership staff and students went to the Kent School District in front of teachers, parents, and other community members while shedding some light on some of the civic engagement work that we do to the Kent School Board members and Superintendent.

“Change doesn’t happen overnight, but if you are not engaged, it won’t happen at all!”
