Students and staff are getting ready to attend our annual “Days of Gratitude”–held during the Thanksgiving weekend–youth leaders, staff and guests will explore the deep connections of gratitude, self-transformation and the creation of what Dr. King calls “the beloved community.”
We will study the role of tribal sovereignty in strengthening democracy, as well as understanding the truth and myths about the story of Thanksgiving.
This year students from Kent/South King County and Tacoma/Pierce County will be hosted by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation in Yolo County, California.
