Online Leadership Session with Titus Capoeman of the Quinault Nation

“It’s important to find elders who have lived through struggles and ask them about all the ways we keep culture alive.” – Titus CapoemanWe were joined by Titus Capoeman for an online leadership session yesterday afternoon. Titus, our youth and staff discussed various topics centering on the intergenerational and cross-cultural connections that strengthen communities, providing hope and action in challenging times.Titus is a member of the Quinault Indian Nation. He is a teacher, culture-bearer, hunter and fisherman and is involved on many levels of civic engagement including on the Taholah School District Board of Directors. He is proud to have served as a United State Marine and is an alumnus of the Institute for Community Leadership (ICL).ICL continues to turn on a dime with increased online classes and sessions during the shelter-in-place order. We are bringing experts from around the world with feet-on-the-ground experience in organizing, civic engagement and public service together with our youth and staff.This is an excellent time to study the relevance and importance of transforming ourselves to make change in the world.

Titus is a member of the Quinault Indian Nation in western Washington State. He is a teacher, culture-bearer, hunter and fisherman for the community and is involved on many levels of civic engagement government participation and public service for the Tribe. He is proud to have served as a United State Marine and is an alumnus of ICL.

ICL continues to turn on a dime with increased online classes and sessions during the shelter-in-place order. We are bringing experts from around the world with feet-on-the-ground experience in organizing, civic engagement and public service together with our youth and staff.
